I’ve completely revamped the way I blog…. Let’s start with a touch-o-history… I started blogging with Live journal back in the day…  It had an amazing blog format with great networking with friends…

But I never liked how I didn’t “own” my blog.  I know it seems like a petty complaint, but that was one of the reasons for leaving.  I then started this WordPress blog which I host in my own domain space.  But I lost a lot of the networking capabilities of LJ.

Well much has changed with social networking sites and it took me a while to jump back in.  But I think I’ve found a good combination of features to cobble together my own thing.  So here it is.

My main blog is still here.  When I have large posts (like this one) I’ll enter it straight into WordPress.  A full crosspost will get sent to Livejournal (Thanks to a nifty little WP plugin) Facebook will get a Twitter (Due to it’s small post sizes) and Myspace gets a Twitter (Due to the fact that Myspace doesn’t play nice with others due to it’s lack of an API) and Twitter gets a Twitter (Obviously)

If its a small post, I’ll enter it into Twitter, which will then get posted to WordPress, Livejournal, Facebook and Twitter (again obviously).  Then Myspace will get the posts via a small widget I have installed (again because they refuse to play well with others.)

Also I’ll be setting up Twitter to do phone posts soon.

So, in theory, I post once and all my sites/blogs get it and you’re free to follow it as you like (or not).  If you want to comment on any post, just do so in the site of your choice.

This post kind of acts as a test for the whole set-up.  So we’ll see how this goes. 

ok, I’m now on myspace, facebook, and twitter… My profile links are on the right… If you’re one one of these networks, friend me, follow me, etc etc

As many know I am a Type 2 diabetic. This condition is brought on by my obesity. So “technically” it is easy to deal with. But that isn’t always the case….I’ve been trying to control my sugar levels with a combination of oral meds, diet, and exercise with varying degrees of success for the past 8 years. Recently I started taking insulin. and it’s helped a lot with my control levels….

Also I’ve joined 2 “Biggest Loser” contests. One with a group of friends (8 people) where each one has contributed $50, so there is a $400 pot. We were running it from jan 1 to Apr 2, so it will be done soon. Also work is running another with $20 a head and 10 ppl, for a $200 pot.

So far I’ve gone from 259 to 244 so 15lbs lost. This has contributed to tighter blood control levels as well…

also last week I had an eye injury at work. I got something in my eye from the ambulance and got a corneal abrasion. It had me out of work for a few days and was pretty painful but should be resolved now…

Gaia passed away this year. She was a mixed breed female, mostly German Shepard, I had her since she was a puppy, 12 years. She was a part of our family. She will be missed…

ok, it’s been almost a year since I’ve updated my blog….hrm….maybe about time eh? Since there is so much do update I’ll be doing it in separate posts, then hopefully I can do more regular updates, maybe monthly, but who knows, no promises…..

I looked into moving my old blog entries over and it is a major pain,

therefore, I’m leaving them on livejournal.

So all blog entries previous to August 23rd 2004 will remain on livejournal

This new site is currently under construction…. hope to see new content soon.

I am moving my livejournal posts over as well as rebuilding my photo galleries…
